Skyrmionic spin structures in layered Fe5GeTe2 up to room temperature

چکیده
The role of the crystal lattice, temperature and magnetic field for spin structure formation in 2D van der Waals magnet Fe5GeTe2 is a key open question. Using Lorentz transmission electron microscopy, we experimentally observe topological structures up to room metastable pre-cooling stable post-cooling phase Fe5GeTe2. Over wide ranges, skyrmionic bubbles form without preferred chirality, which indicative centrosymmetric structure. In phase, these are observable even application an external field, while transformation from bubble domains stripe seen. To understand order compare macroscopic magnetometry characterization results with microscopic density functional theory calculation. Our show that temperature, can be stabilized magnets.

The Hanle effect and electron spin polarization in InAs/GaAs quantum dots up to room temperature.
The Hanle effect in InAs/GaAs quantum dots (QDs) is studied under optical orientation as a function of temperature over the range of 150-300 K, with the aim of understanding the physical mechanism responsible for the observed sharp increase of electron spin polarization with increasing temperature. The deduced spin lifetime T(s) of positive trions in the QDs is found to be independent of temper...

Ultrafast spin manipulation for opto-spin logic applications requires material systems that have strong spin-selective light-matter interaction. Conventional inorganic semiconductor nanostructures [for example, epitaxial II to VI quantum dots and III to V multiple quantum wells (MQWs)] are considered forerunners but encounter challenges such as lattice matching and cryogenic cooling requirement...
متن کاملRoom-temperature spin thermoelectrics in metallic films
Considering metallic films at room temperature, we present the first theoretical study of the spin Nernst and thermal Edelstein effects that takes into account dynamical spin-orbit coupling, i.e., direct spin-orbit coupling with the vibrating lattice (phonons) and impurities. This gives rise to a novel process, namely, a dynamical side-jump mechanism, and to dynamical Elliott-Yafet spin relaxat...

متن کاملRoom temperature molecular up conversion in solution
Up conversion is an Anti-Stokes luminescent process by which photons of low energy are piled up to generate light at a higher energy. Here we show that the addition of fluoride anions to a D2O solution of a macrocyclic erbium complex leads to the formation of a supramolecular [(ErL)2F](+) assembly in which fluoride is sandwiched between two complexes, held together by the synergistic interactio...
